Global maps of com net org biz info mobi asia website hosting

Ever wonder how many websites a country hosts? HosterStats.com has mapped all com/net/org/biz/info/mobi/asia websites and matched them, by IP address to the countries where they are hosted. The results are broken down by TLD. The cumulative gTLD (com/net/org/biz/info/mobi/asia) figures are also available and like the map of .COM websites, these are also broken down by regions, showing websites hosted in Africa, websites hosted in the Americas, websites hosted in Asia, websites hosted in Europe and websites hosted in Oceania. Most gTLD websites in the Oceania region are hosted in Australia and New Zealand.

The suvey covered 148,691,387 domain names in the gTLDs and of these, 134,203,124 had websites. This means that 90.26% of the main gTLDs (excluding the new gTLDs which were covered in an earlier survey) had websites. The statistics will be released as a spreadsheet report.
